To One Who Sees
God of awkwardness, true flesh hiccuping, laughing and piercing:
Author my life as your writing sees fit
Claim every feeling as yours
Intrude in the spaces where most I wish to hide
that I can be a little brave, tiny fearful heart
Your eyes twinkle and arrest my gaze
Oh to bear when bare
fully in your hands I form
each crevice seen, held and molded
pain be or painless, only awaken the truest sense — the love that earth cannot dismay
you my origin, middle and eternal God-with.
